071114 - Web Design & 3D & other thoughts

Thankfully, "Fundamentals of WebDesign" is a super easy class. It's basically a baby-step course in the most rudimentary of HTML which is going to free up some time to get my claws on 3d studio max again.

I've been practicing a little and some examples are on my stumbleupon blog.

Yes, I'm going to start Coyoteville up again eventually, I'm frustrated that I never got to do it in flash years ago as planned, but it will become an eventuality as well as other ideas for other series.

Coyoteville is returning? ("Eventually")

This is GREAT!! Very Happy

I really enjoyed the comic strips (no double entendre there please! Razz ) I had believed that the comic was finished, but this is outstanding news.

Beneatha would probably be my personal favourite, though I liked it best when Sean upstaged her. I nearly fell off my chair laughing when she impersonated Mulder (Fox) and Sean kicked her into the "Horse House."

Make sure you bring back Willy/Al/Molierre the Armadillo and Mai the female 'yote.

That was me by the way... I thought I'd logged in.

Thnk you very much, Stephan!
Beneatha's definately coming back, she's integral to the series, and I'll make sure to put more Mai in.

I was pretty worried about the last story being too vulgar, but am glad you enjoyed it. Maybe I'll reference later on what -actually- happened when she was in there. I don't want to ruin the surprise, but it isn't what sean thinks.

The Armadillo! Smile What about the adorable little guy who had the amusing food feuds with Sean? Very Happy

It would be quite a challenge to create a story too vulgar for me. Maybe I should post one of my poems here... do you have an 18+ page? Twisted Evil I have one entitled "Coyote and 'roo," (not about Sean though).

Now the question is "Have I seen that story?" The last strips I saw were in the 10-15th October 2005. They concerned (in this order) Sean's footprints being so deep people tripped over them, Sean whacking a rabbit with a sign saying "The end is near" , and Sean pretending to be religious so he wouldn't have to pay Fyodor $20 owed to him.

I guess I'm just a prude at heart. I'm trying to keep things at a certain level of acceptable raunchiness but even now, I'm scaling my tastes back..I guess it's just an effect of getting older.

The armadillo will also stay, but I'd like to focus on other characters too like flip the bird and a few more I never introduced like Billy Burro, mainly because the joke only works in an actual animation because he talks like william s. burroughs...(runs/hides before people catch the pun)

I guess I'll spoil it since I don't think I'll go back to that particular story (where beneatha pretends to be Mulder), Sean takes beneatha to the "Horse House", but later on, Fyodor would have been seen reading a book on womens roles in philosophy published by horse house press. Beneatha basically would have led the workers there to rethink their lives and change the place of business into a publishing house.

It would work better as a full-out story, I think..

Oh but the raunchiness, the raunchiness. Oh no, don't lose the raunchiness!

According to your profile you're only 1 year older than me. Besides, the lady fur who collaborates with me on writing the poems about cross-species yiffing is about 67. Some things about people never change! Laughing

Cool!

It will be good to see flip return.

Was he the Burro in Sean's joke about "Nice Ass" ?

I can't wait to see animated Coyoteville shorts. Will you be using Flash Animation?

Oh right! I never guessed that there was more to the story, although it makes sense in that the cut from the Horse House scene to the tough sheep scene was very sudden.

It was merely Sean's joke on the doorstep of the house that made me laugh until I nearly asphyxiated. "It's a good thing Beneatha isn't here. She'd kill me if she knew I took her little brother to a Horse House."

There IS one episode I missed, becuase the link was unavailable in the archive when I arrived to take a look. I've never seen the halloween episode where Beneatha was posessed by the Scourge. I did very much enjoy the strip following that, where Sean remarked "You'd think getting someone inside her would fix her up" followed by Beneatha going feral at him.
Will that be reinstated at some future point?
Stephan

It will be flash eventually. Unfortunately, it may be a while before I compile all of the webstrips again as I didn't make a backup when I deleted the site and I'm not sure I still have all of the original photoshops Sad

Tsk tsk tsk, as we kangaroos say...

Well I don't know how helpful this will be to you, but I saved the strips I enjoyed looking at the most, so that I wouldn't have to re-load them each time I wanted to read through. 56mb. I can't send them until the 5th December though; I've nearly used up my monthly internet quota.
Draconis

Thanks Stephan!
I have the first few years. Let me figure out where I'm up to and I'll let you know. I was hoping I could get them from archive.org but they didn't archive...Go figure.

Thanks again! Much appreciated!

Muahahahahaw!!! Now what can I ask for in return? Twisted Evil

Lesee…

Sean finds two long ears protruding from a rabbit hole and grabs hold, but when he lifts up they turn out to belong to a sexy grey kangaroo doe with long black eyelashes. She remarks "That’s what I get for following a rabbit. I told him to turn left at Albury!"
She then becomes infatuated with Mulder, but he’s terrified of her.

Only kidding! Just send me a PM to nominate an E-mail address which can handle large attachments.

I’ll send you a file list first so you can let me know if you need the entire lot or just specific years.
Draconis

Mmmeh...it's a possibility... Smile

Ok, please hold while I try to compile the strips I do have. I don't want you to waste needless bandwidth.

Thanks again!

Really I was only kidding. Laughing It would delight me, but might confuse the hell out of other people. 'sides, kangaroos are grass eaters - she'd starve out there. Shocked

No prob! I have the list ready - 828 strips.
Stephan

Quota has been renewed.  List is ready.

Thank you so much stefan...maybe it would be better if you burned them onto a cd  or dvd and mailed them. I can reimburse you via paypal for whatever expense, and of course I'd be in your debt Smile
Stephan

CD it is then! Smile

Send me a mailing address and I'll despatch the collection to you.

I don't have a Paypal account though.  Maybe I was a little hasty in rejecting the Coyoteville kangaroo visitor strip idea... could we perhaps negotiate payment in the form of a story arc? Very Happy
Draconis

perhaps...
Stephan

* Snerk *

I might PM some ideas for you then... Twisted Evil

First things first through.  Can't mail a CD without a destination.  Do you have like a work address or a PO box or something?
Stephan

The CD is all ready. Very Happy  It just needs a destination.
Draconis

stephan. after some conisderation, i would like to keep 'community' and 'comic' seperate. i'd be happy to give you a personal thank you on the webpage however and even go so far as to create a webcomic to you as a gift. i hope that's ok.
Stephan

Heehee! Smile  I don't blame you.  You might receive all sorts of requests otherwise.

My modem blew precisely 1 week ago tonight and this is the first chance I've had to log back on (new modem).  I was going to say that there's really no obligation for you to produce a comic strip just for my sake - the CD is yours simply because I want to help.  I've already burned my suggested scripts onto it though.  Hopefully they'll give you a laugh privately, and you might even be able to let me know how well/poorly I understand the deeper mysteries of the coyoteville cast.

Now... I can't do nuthin without somewhere to send this 'ere CD.  Hint-hint-hint! Razz
